| FEB 1ST-6TH EAGLES AT THE BOWL
What a big week for the Crowd Pleaser. On Tuesday, the Aegis group chartered us for a catered buisness sportfshing trip out of Boca Raton. While kite fishing was a little slow we managed to nab our limit of king mackeral trolling the reef. Later in the week, while Sportfishing off of Fort Lauderdale, the bite really turned on. Kite fishing with Bob, Allen, Rick & Lindsey was very productive. We landed two sails, two mahi and ten kings!! Sunday two hours before kick off, we finally called it quits, but not before catching a ton of kings one a thirty pounder.
FEB 7TH- 13TH SHARK SEASON OPENS
Mid february fishing off of of Ft. Lauderdale, one of my favorite times of year, sailfish season is still going strong the occasional mahi is caught(usually abnormally big this time of year) and the onset of the giant trophy shark migration begins. This season was kicked off right by Greggs group from Canada. They landed a 180lb Diamond Scale Shark!! "The taxidermy man gonna have a heart attack when he see what I brought him"! Later in the week wreck fishing off of Pompano Beach was phenomanal producing several large black and gag groupers.
FEB 14TH-20TH GROUPER SWARM
One of my all time favorite fish to eat the grouper is here. All week long the Groupedr fishing has been so good we took a break from trophy shark hunting to capture all we could of these beautiful tasty fish. Every trip out this week we landed at least one of these tasty wreck bass one weighing out at 33lbs. However even better than grouper were the two trophy golden amber jacks we landed as a by catch. Mike, Dominique and crew on the 18th and one for Al, Mike and Kim on Sunday, way to go Guys. I know those fish are tough to land!!
21st-28th STRANGE DAYS
We caught the coolest 400LB stingray. What a giant blob of gelatinous Jelly. Florida deep sea fishing is full of surprises. Lincoln learned that first hand, sometimes you get what you wish for! Jim caught a giant golden amberjack fishing the fine wrecks of pompano beach. We filmed a commercial for a funky new sun protector. Look for us on Raygear.com. Choppy Gambino caught some nice king mackerel, and Gloria decided not to show up for her trip. Alan Dunn made it through the bridge! He got lots of giant bonitos. Our personal hero Jerry caught another Big Amberjack and plenty O' Kingas.
