| 1st-5th Hammerheads out deep
The Hammerhead sharks have shown up early this from Jupiter down to Ft. Lauderdale, as Able and Derecks group found out Wednesday. They were able to land an exquisite golden hammerhead 89" long as well as a 36lb wahoo and 36lb king fish. Thursday and Friday we also boated hammerhead sharks, one was kept for a great trophy mount but unfortunatelly Greg and Michelle decided to let their catch swim away, hope they don't regret that decision to badly. All and all though, it was a great week with some very exciting trips. 6th-12th The Bite is on off Boca Raton
The action this week was happening off of Boca Raton, with several of our trips based out of the Boca Resort and Beach Club. Monday afternoon the blue Gulf Stream water pushed into the beach and we pulled two nice wahoo out of it, one over forty pounds. All week long the blue water remained and brought with it; more wahoo, mahi mahi and small tuna, but don't get discouraged all you trophy hunters out there, the big hammerheads are still snuffling around out there as well as a few sailfish. 13th-19th Blue Water, Green Fish and Green Beer
The blue water remained on the reef thru St. Patty's day with a light easterly breeze bringing in lots of floatsom and mahi with it. Although Mahi was the predominent catch all week long, we managed to land some nice kings live baiting with Cass and co. on Saturaday and a rather large 2225lb hammerhead later that afternoon. 20th-26th Spring Begins!
What a week, with fourteen trips on the book, we caught every type of fish out there. Big Golden Amberjacks have started showing up on the wrecks. Pound for pound these are the strongest fish in the ocean as several of our charters can attest to this week. We even landed one almost seventy five pounds, Wow! Giant wahoo and a ton of mahi mahi have been on the reef as well as bull sharks and hammerheads. We even had a sailfish so fiesty it took an hour to get it in. Our poor angler Ross never fought so hard in his life, but to his credit he never gacew up and got some nice photos for all his hard work. 27th-31st Moss Back Smokers
The green water is back in this week making live baiting for kings the big draw. Fishing with live baits is one of the many styles of fishing available onboard the Crowd Pleaser. The baits are slow trolled behind the boat on light tackle rigs. The baits are presented near the surface attracting any species of predator in the area. This week we had some explosive hits by big smoker kings and some Greater Golden Amberjacks. On the light tackle these fish fight increbibly hard and its a true testament to the skill of the angler when one is landed. King fish over 20lbs are the norm with this style of fishing, and this week was no exception. We even landed a few over thirty. So call us up for the live bait light tackle experience!!
