April 2006 Florida Big Game fishing begins!

1-10th Cobia, the weird looking sportfish

Lots of good time fishing with cobia on the wrecks. These fish are fantastic fighters althogh strange looking like a cross between a shark and a catfish. Big king mackerel are on the reef, some sharks are migrating through and a couple of dolphin are around. Dolphin fishing should be getting better and better in the upcoming weeks. Congrats to Steve whiting and crew for the awsome golden hammerhead!

11th-20th Bring a Bunny Fishing!

Happy Easter everyone who cares! Strong winds and seas kept us in the 11th-13th except for a short test trip on the afternoon of the 13th. Just enough time to catch a nice cobia and run back in! For a Friday and Saturday we got perfect weather and caught Amy and John Shultz a huge golden Hammerhead, good thing they could reschedule to the days with nice weather! South florida sportfishing has heated up after Easter and we are catching wahoo and blackfin tuna. The tuna are large and in charge!

21st- 30th, I love this time of year!

We are fishing many trips out of the Boca Raton Resort and Country Club. It is a busy convention time of year. Of course our dock in Pompano Beach on the North end of Fort Lauderdale is where you can find us ready to take you out most evenings after fishing. Shark fishing has finally turned on and the train of big migrating fish has arrived! The best shot at catching huge trophy sharks will be for the next couple months. Mahi Mahi have showed up and the big ones are thick! Severel fish between 30-40 ponds are being caught each day. Big kings are on the reef mixed in with wahoo and tuna. Its no wonder that most of the big tournaments locally will be held from now through June. Hope you can get in on the action!
