| 1st-7th Sailfish are here!
The holidays always feel like they come early to me when the saifish start biting! It seems like this week we are getting sailfish bites everytime we try, which has kept the customers with smiles. Robert Benson came out after we postponed due to weather and we had a great trip! We caught a beautiful 30 pound wahoo, a bunch of kingfish, dolphin, and some snappers and bottom fish. We also got a nice golden amberjack. Lester and the boys from Quality Fabrication caught a bunch of kingfish and a sailfish. Robert Robertson wanted to catch a sailfish and got his wish also. Dolphin have moved in over the reef the last few days and we are getting them like crazy while we are trolling on the reef on the way to the sailfish spot! Rex and shellie Winebrenner came out the end of the week and had a great first time fishing experience! Having never fioshed in saltwater they caught a bunch of kings, some dolphin and a big sailfish. Whew-time for a cold one! Wish happy birthday to Robert our dech tech-he's another year older on the 5th! 8th-14th Sailfish! Dolphin!
I'm getting ahead of myself because the week isn't over yet but the fishing is HOT! Sailfish are becoming more plentiful and dolphin are all over the reef. On monday the eighth we caught a bunch of Dolphinfish shallow on the reef. Then we caught kingfish in the deep water outside the reef! (Usually its the other way around) We also got a sailfish! On the ninth we caught some live ballyhoo to use for bait and caught Matt Schmitt a huge king mackerel of 40 pounds-NICE! Then we got out and caught our crew from the Boca Hotel more kings and dolphin and a beautiful sailfish. The sails are here so CALL US UP NOW TO GO GET EM'! Kite fishing for sailfish will be good over the next couple of months through to spring but now through february is the hottest so dont delay! 15th-21st More Sailfish!
The sails continued to bite heavily this week allowing us to capture at least one almost every day! Monday started off nicely for us, we had a Great Time fishing with Mike Heid and his friends from Ohio. We caught several King Mackeral and nice Sailfish which we let go to fight again. On wednesday, we took Jeff Slater and his friends out on an all day 8 1/2 hour trip. Jeff wanted to kite fish with live Goggle Eye bait fish and what a great decision that turned out to be!! We caught two sailfish and several nice dolphin fish, not to mention our limit of ten kingfish. Way to go team!! The weekend was just as good to us with sailfish caught on both our trips Saturday and our trip Sunday. Select another page || Go to Home Page |
