| 1ST-7TH CHARTER FISHING DEERFIELD
South Florida Sportfishing has been red hot for those targetting sailfish. As expected, January cold fronts, even mild ones, have turned the sailfish bite on really well this season. What was unexpected, however, was the occurence of big, trophy Golden Hammerhead Sharks just off the beach in Pompano. As Phil B. and company discovered on the 6th, these beasts fight hard and refuse to give up easily. After an intense hour long battle though, Phil finally came through and landed his trophy. 8TH-14TH SOUTH FLORIDA CHARTER FISHING
The're freezing up in Buffalo, stuck in their cars, while we're down here on the ocean catching sails. I can't say it enough, if you want to catch a trophy sailfish now is the time. January is the best, but action will last through April. All day charters in SOuth Florida have been known to land over 20 sailfish a trip in January, as we found out with 21 on Thursday. Generally. the weather can be a little rough this time of year, but if your a fair weather fisherman don't get discouraged. March is usually flat calm with a good sailfish bite and equally good monster shark fishing. So book up now before we fill up!!! 115TH- 21ST DEEP SEA FISHING FLORIDA
Wreck fishing has been red hot this week. No one now knows this fact better than the Englands, our charter from sunny NJ. Ron England's group managed to land an awesome 81 lb Golden Amber Jack, a beautiful trophy and one of the biggest we've ever landed. Any serious fisherman would be proud to display that fish on the wall. Later in the week small silky sharks and blackfin tunas were plentiful in the kite. JAN 22ND-31ST SAILFISHING
Sailfishing as expected, has continued to be red hot this week with multiple hook ups the norm. The wreck fishing as an added bonus has also been very productive. On our shorter trips we've had to ponder, "Should we slay the grouper for tonights dinner or do battle with the acrobatic beautiful sailfish for a trophy?". Than we remember, "Oh yeah we fish off of Deerfield Beach and with the close proximity of the fishing grounds to home, we have ample time to do both and maybe get a little trolling in as well. Excellent!". Select another page || Go to Home Page |
