FLORIDA MARLINS AND SHARK FISHING

Shark fishing continues to be outstanding with an early run of Bull Sharks moving through on the reef as well as the traditional April and May Hammerhead action slightly offshore. On Saturday the 21st Tony Muffi likely had one of the best trips of the year although I don't think he realized it. After landing several bonitos, two blackfin tunas, several mahi, and nice wahoo, Toni hooked into one of Florida's rare White Marlin. After nearly an hour long fight he boated the fish, with a little help from the crew, and released it to fight another day. After all that time was up and we headed for home and a cold beer. Great Success!! The following day, Cullen Jenkins, Green Bay Packers new star, tested his muscle out on a monstrous Hammerhead shark. Thank goodness pre season is still four months away because he's gonna need some recovery time. South Florida sportfishing stayed hot thru the end of the month with several large wahoo, kingfish and mahi mahi as the norm.
