| AUG 1ST-8TH WHAT A WEEK
What a week! If all of August holds up like this we'll be in heaven. We had the pleasure of fishing with the Fenigans on the 1st and had a great time. The action was nonstop with false albacore and king fish, one weighing in at a hefty 31 pounds. Two days later on the 3rd we took Ray and Gene out and landed 10 bonitos. We also hooked up with a beautiful sailfish and got some great pics of its amazing acrobatics, dancing and leaping into the air! George G.M. and Chris had a great time the following day catching a bunch of bonitos, nice kings and a 42lb wahoo! Way to go guys!! On the 5th Cody Nathan and Tom came out with us and caught a bunch of kings and three sailfish, all right! The week ended on a high note with Paul, Paul, John, Greg, Frank and Jason. After catching 10 kings and 3 bonitos we decided to try some live baits on one of the many deep water wrecks right outside of our inlet. What a great decision, we sent three baits down and came up with three giant Warsaw Grouper CONTINUED
two of which were over 60 lbs. What a treat enough Grouper for everyone who wanted some and one nice trophy for the wall. Awesome trip guys what blast!! 8th-14th Hurricane Action
James St Claire says "Break out the smoker, Kings coming!" and they did for his crew. Fishing was slow for Mike feldstein and kids on the 9th but we caught some and had fun. Hurricane Charly is on the way-hopefully it will turn fishing on. Its a little rough out here on the 12th but still ok to fish. In the morning we caught some golden amberjacks with Pat Freeland and crew-good luck with your wedding Pat! In the Afternoon we caught a sweet wahoo plus some Amberjacks-They are biting! Today we tied the boat up for the coming of CHARLY> Its Friday and we have to cancel our trip for the hurricane although we are not getting the brunt of it. I think we can fish tomorrow. We got Dave and crew out on Saturday and seas had really let down. Fishing was not red hot as I had hoped but we got some kings and a bunch of bonitos and the rod stayed bent for a while. AUG 15TH-21ST BOTTOM FISHING
Fishing this week was good for kingfish and bonitos but the real money was on the bottom and the wrecks. Dave Gardner and his group did well with both kings and bonitos but also mangaed to land a vicious snapping Bull Shark hanging on a well known ship wreck. One less man eater in the ocean means one awesome trophy for Dave! Later on in the week Troy and Rob had a lot of fun pulling a couple of big amber jacks up to the boat as well as some tasty snappers. One fish we caught still has yet to be identified!! Look for some pictures of that one coming soon. Dino and his group fishing at the end of the week caught one of the biggest golden amber jacks I've seen all year! Way to go Pablo Hank and everyone else who took a turn fighting that beast! AUG 22ND-31ST BIG FISH
The last week of August was a great week for big fish, on the 22nd Fred Beth and Jim came out and after catching a few king mackeral and Bonito, they tried their hand at landing the big one, succesfully I might add. After and intense 65 minute battle they pulled in an impressive 85" Bull Shark!! Excellent! Later in the week on a trip with Joe, Rick and Kenny we caught a few bonitos and two barracudas one almost four feet long. They also had one of the first sailfish of the season up right behind the boat giving them the oppurtunity to capture some great pictures of a great fish. Rounding out the week on Sunday Gordon his son Gordon, Risa and Joann really wore their arms out loading up on false albacore and blackfin tuna. They even landed a vicious barracuda that ate an entire 12lb tuna. Way to go! Select another page || Go to Home Page |
